Stephen Klunk is a drummer and percussionist based in Northeast Ohio. In addition to having performed with groups such as Cleveland’s No Exit New Music Ensemble and the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, he maintains several long-term musical projects.

Monochromatic Residua, Stephen’s microtonal extreme metal project with guitarist Aaron Myers-Brooks and vocalist Albert Hall, has made music called both “incredibly f***ed up sounding” by Metal Injection and “palatable and very interesting” by Toilet Ov Hell.

Patchwork, Stephen’s duo with saxophonist Noa Even, has commissioned new works from over a dozen composers, including Osnat Netzer, Erin Rogers, Hong-Da Chin, Jonn Sokol, Eric Wubbels, Nick Didkovsky, Charlie Wilmoth, and Dan Tramte. Patchwork has been described as demonstrating "astonishingly tight ensemble” by ClevelandClassical.com and "creating the effect of a hybrid solo instrument" by I Care if You Listen. Formed in 2013, Patchwork has appeared in cities including St. Louis, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, New York, Cincinnati, and Cleveland, and at music schools across the Midwest and Northeastern United States.
