Kultures is an indie rock artist living in Cleveland, OH. The band’s self-titled debut LP was written and produced by vocalist/instrumentalist, Justin Miller, in his home studio in 2020 and released on June 4, 2021. Miller discovered a passion for music at a young age, and has been fighting against suburban notions of “success” ever since. The Kultures LP explores dreams of self-actualization and the pursuit of authentic love. The record leans on vocal-forward melodies and intricate soundscapes, which bring unique context to each track. Kultures is a testament to lighting your own path and following your dreams.

Collaboration is a central theme to the creative process, as evidenced by the long list of contributors in the Kultures ecosystem. Kultures works with a wide array of musicians, bringing fresh perspectives and talent into the creative space. The record was tracked between the formidable Superior Sound Studios in downtown Cleveland and Miller’s quaint home studio just outside the city limits. With influences including Bon Iver and The National, Kultures delivers authentic artistic expression, rooted in candid human experience. The 8 track, self-produced LP closes with a sample of “Be Faithful” by The Twilighters, a popular Cleveland band from the 1960’s, started by Miller’s grandfather. Kultures LP was mixed by Leon Taheny (Owen Pallett, Grizzly Bear) at Union Sound Company in Toronto.
